With over 25 years of trial experience acting for both employers and dismissed employees in employment disputes in all levels of Courts and tribunals in British Columbia, I have gained a realistic appreciation of the costs, risks, rewards, frustrations and disappointments involved in litigation.
I have been counsel in more reported employment law decisions than any other lawyer currently practicing in British Columbia. For every case that required adjudication, I managed to settle many times that many through negotiated settlements. I know what it takes to settle an employment dispute.
Some lawyers may think of me as traditionally a “plaintiffs” counsel. Perhaps this is because more of my plaintiff side cases have gone to trial and been reported over the years. I have acted for both employers and employees throughout my career and I believe this experience gives me a unique skillset that allows me to communicate effectively with employees and employers and counsel on both sides.
